A generalist HR Advisor is required for a small, growing construction organisation based South of the River.

This is a broad, hands-on HR generalist role supporting a small, growing organisation based South of the River.

As the HR Advisor, you will deliver end-to-end HR support, working closely with the HR Manager to ensure best practice, compliance and governance and fostering a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

Key Duties & Responsibilities will include:
  • Providing generalist HR advice and support to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment matters in line with the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards (NES)
  • Managing the end-to-end recruitment processes, including drafting advertisements, sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating selection and offer processes
  • Coordinating and delivering structured onboarding and induction programs to ensure a positive employee experience and compliance readiness
  • Maintaining and administering the HRIS, ensuring accurate employee records, data integrity, reporting, and system updates
  • Supporting employee lifecycle activities including contract preparation, variations, probation reviews, and offboarding processes
  • Assisting in employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations
  • Interpretation and implementation of modern awards
  • Supporting reward and recognition initiatives, including program design, administration, and promotion to drive engagement and retention
  • Contributing to the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures aligned with legislative requirements
  • Preparing HR reports and metrics (e.g. headcount, turnover, recruitment data) to support decision-making
  • Promoting a positive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives and HR best practice
  • Providing administrative and project support to the HR Manager across key HR initiatives as the organisation continues to grow

To be successful in your application, you will be a generalist HR Advisor who enjoys working in a small team, responsible for the full end-to-end employee lifecycle. You will possess recent, vocational experience of the Fair Work Act and interpretation of industrial awards, and have a working knowledge of supporting case investigations.

This position will be wholly based within our client's offices, which are new facilities based South of the River.
