A well-established brand offering products and services across multiple sites and stores across the country, based in the North Sydney area. This role is a unique opportunity for someone to take on a hands-on business partnering role offering long-term career progression.
Your new role
- Reporting to the GM of People, you will be the key HR business partner for the organisation, supporting up to 800 employees, including Head Office.
- You will be part of a team of eight in HR, including CoEs for recruitment and safety
- You will focus on coaching and advising employees at all levels of the business as well as the senior leaders on all matters of HR and employee life cycle.
- This is an operationally focused position and duties will include a strong emphasis on employee relations, modern award interpretation, HR advice, performance management coaching and HR compliance
- You will also be involved in engagement, talent management, employee experience, workforce planning and projects
- Projects will include HR compliance, HR auditing around payroll, modern award compliance and governance
What you'll need to succeed
- You will be passionate about people and enjoy working in a thriving and energetic HR team, so your personality must match!
- You will have excellent technical HR knowledge, including in-depth expertise in Modern Awards, HR compliance and Fairwork
- You will have attention to detail, enjoy investigating, developing and improving processes and procedures
- You will be experienced in coaching a diverse range of employees and stakeholders and building rapport easily
- You will be a team player, down to earth and adaptable depending on the day or the situation
- You will thrive in non-corporate environments and appreciate open, honest, down-to-earth people
