Based at the Sydney CBD Head Office, this is a true business partnering opportunity, playing a key part in the delivery of operational and strategic people projects for a workforce of 200 + employees. Your new role

As the People & Culture Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, delivering practical and commercially focused HR advice and services to drive engagement and performance. Key responsibilities will include:
  • Business partnering and coaching all levels of the business and the leadership on a daily basis, building relationships and providing advice and counsel
  • Employee relations, including case management and workplace investigations when needed
  • Providing HR advice and support on Fairwork, employment legislation, modern award interpretation and PIPs
  • Leadership coaching
  • Employee engagement and wellbeing program delivery
  • Supporting with WHS, RTW administration
  • Delivery of diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Recruitment and onboarding activities as and when needed
  • Talent management, succession planning and ensuring talent development plans are in place
  • Partnering with the ELT in the delivery of people-related programs supporting change and transformation

What you'll need to succeed

  • A minimum two years as an HR Business Partner within a small to medium-sized business
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations with experience of managing workplace investigations and performance-related conversations
  • Excellent employment legislation and HR policy knowledge
  • Passion for recruitment and talent management as this will be part of the wider HR role
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
  • Excellent coaching, influencing and communication skills
  • Strong expertise in Fair Work legislation, employment law and HR best practice
  • You must have experience of the delivery and execution of people projects and coaching a business through change and transformation.
  • Knowledge of the construction or property sector would be beneficial but not essential
  • Thrive working in small teams and enjoy being at the coalface of the business
