Your new company
Our client is a rapidly growing, purpose-led organisation committed to supporting vulnerable communities across Australia. Following a period of significant transformation, the business is continuing its growth journey through service expansion, workforce growth, systems enhancement and operational improvement. With ambitious plans for the future, the organisation is investing in its people, capability and technical infrastructure to support sustainable growth. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior People & Culture Business Partner to join at a pivotal stage and play a key role in shaping and strengthening the people function.
Your new role
As Senior People & Culture Business Partner, you will join the business during a period of growth, change and continuous improvement. Partnering closely with leaders across the organisation, you will help drive key people initiatives, support operational excellence and contribute to the development of scalable people practices and frameworks. This is a business that's very much in a phase of "creating the plane while flying it." As such, we're looking for someone who thrives in evolving environments, can comfortably navigate ambiguity, and enjoys bringing structure, process and practical solutions while maintaining momentum.
Leadership will be an important aspect of the role, particularly during periods of transition, but this is ultimately a hands-on position requiring someone who is equally comfortable leading initiatives as they are rolling up their sleeves and delivering outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with leaders across the business to provide expert People & Culture advice and support.
- Supporting the development and implementation of HR systems, processes and frameworks that enable organisational growth.
- Leading and delivering key people projects and change initiatives.
- Managing employee relations, investigations, performance management and industrial relations matters.
- Contributing to upcoming workforce changes, including award updates, remuneration reviews and compliance requirements.
- Reviewing and updating position descriptions, policies and people processes.
- Ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislation, workplace policies and relevant awards.
What you'll need to succeed
- Significant experience in senior HR, People & Culture Business Partner or HR leadership roles.
- Strong Employee Relations and Industrial Relations expertise, with the confidence to manage complex and sensitive people matters.
- Proven experience delivering people initiatives, systems improvements and change projects within community service environments
- Strong leadership capability, with the confidence to provide guidance, support and direction during periods of growth and transition.
- A hands-on, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
- Experience with SCHADS Award is highly desirable.
- Experience with EmploymentHero and Asana is a plus.
What you'll get in return
- Immediate start opportunity.
- Initial 6-month contract
- Attractive day-rate
- Hybrid working arrangements based in Melbourne.
-
The opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation making a meaningful impact in the community.
